The good vibes keep rolling as Surfer Girl is set to drop their highly anticipated new album, Sunset, on April 18, 2025. If you’ve been craving sun-soaked melodies and breezy reggae-pop rhythms, this one’s for you.

From what we’ve heard so far, Sunset is shaping up to be an instant classic. No filler tracks here—just straight-up summer anthems designed to soundtrack your next beach trip. The album is packed with infectious hooks and dynamic energy, featuring some heavy-hitting collaborations with Bryce Vine, Khalia, and Collie Buddz. Expect a fusion of reggae, alt-pop, and island vibes, elevating the signature Surfer Girl sound to a whole new level.

For those who may not know, Carter Reeves, the driving force behind Surfer Girl, was formerly one-half of the beloved indie-hip-hop-reggae duo Aer. Aer made waves in the early 2010s with their unique blend of reggae, hip-hop, and alternative rock, gaining a dedicated following with albums like The Bright Side and One of a Kind. After Aer disbanded, Carter launched his solo career, exploring new sounds and evolving as an artist before forming Surfer Girl, a project that captures his love for beachy vibes and feel-good rhythms.

Leading up to the release, the band has been bringing their feel-good energy to the stage, touring alongside DENM and The Elovaters. Their live shows are a testament to the sonic chemistry and vibrant spirit that make Surfer Girl such a standout in the modern surf-reggae scene. Whether you’ve been a fan since the Aer days or just discovered them, their upcoming album is sure to be a must-listen.

As we count down to the release of Sunset, be sure to follow Surfer Girl on all streaming platforms and check out their tour dates at surfergirlmusic.com.

We’ll be bumping this one on repeat—see you in the lineup!
